Eat, share, live, is the concept of the new salad bar called; SLA (mind you, sla is Dutch for lettuce) where customers can not only buy organic salads, but attend workshops and talks at the SLA LAB, to learn about wholesome foods.
The salad bar is located in the trendy Amsterdam neighbourhood “De Pijp,” an area of town that’s home to a young upward-moving demographic and an increasing number of shops and eateries that cater to their lifestyle needs. Where in SLA fits in perfectly.
At SLA you can create your own salad by mixing your favorite ingredients or choose a fixed fresh salad from their menu. Besides salads they serve soups, spelt sandwiches, juices, guilt-free sweets and great coffees (even possible with almond milk!). As far as possible, all ingredients are organic and come from local farmers.
The d.i.y. chic atmosphere was developed by the young Dutch duo Dax Roll and Joyce Urbanus of Nicemakers, who stylishly blended vintage furnishings with custom made pieces. The bar also features illustrations by Milou Maass and artworks by Elisabeth Leerssen, providing the location with an extra “organic” touch’.
SLA is a must visit for people looking to live a healthy lifestyle, are vegetarian or vegan, are on a gluten or lactose free diet and for those trying to stay in shape even during their hectic working schedules.
Great place for salads and juices, and you can also see how they grow their own little range of seeds & weeds in their backyard greenhouse!
Location: Ceintuurbaan 149, Amsterdam
